Fabrication Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform wafer fabrication functions including photolithography, thin film, etch, and diffusion
• Operate equipment for alignment, masking, etch deposition, testing, and diffusion
• Conduct set-up, calibration, and preventative maintenance on fabrication equipment
• Collect and evaluate operating data to ensure process optimization
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols and wear required PPE for extended periods
• Maintain accurate documentation and log data into computer-based applications
• Visually inspect products to recognize quality defects
• Handle fragile GaAs wafers and precious metals such as gold and platinum

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• Basic mathematical computation and writing skills
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and basic computer knowledge
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to follow complex directions and established procedures
• Ability to lift, handle, and reach to use various tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior semiconductor manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of Wafer FAB operational proficiency (process, tools, flows)
• Familiarity with cleanroom practices and protocols
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
