Fabrication Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the fabrication shop including sheet metal, structural steel, and copper processes
• Coordinate and direct activities of approximately 30 employees
• Analyze work orders, blueprints, and production schedules to determine job sequencing
• Assign daily tasks across laser cutting, metal punch, copper punch, press brake, welding, and painting
• Ensure machines are properly set up, maintained, and operating efficiently
• Train and mentor employees on equipment, processes, and safety procedures
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements
• Implement improvements to production methods and workflow to increase productivity
• Manage shop inventory levels and collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fabrication, welding, or manufacturing
• Prior supervisory experience required
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal, structural steel, and copper fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and weld symbols
• Familiarity with fabrication equipment like metal punch, lasers, and press brakes
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds with team lifting
