Fabrication Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all project-specific fabrication activities to ensure high quality and maximized profit margins
• Analyze materials to ensure correct application and compliance with project timelines and lead times
• Collaborate early with Project Managers and Estimators to establish accurate budgets and timelines
• Drive the project process by ensuring adherence to set timelines and conducting financial analyses to maintain budget integrity
• Manage Change Orders by estimating costs and obtaining approval from budget holders
• Organize critical project meetings and work closely with the Engineering team to provide fabrication drawings to the shop
• Coordinate with the Purchasing department for timely material procurement for fabrication and graphics production
• Liaise with the General Foreman to determine necessary crew sizes and collaborate with the Lead Foreman for smooth operations
• Verify that all properties are correctly identified and cross-checked for accuracy before shipment

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or construction-related fields
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of building and construction standards and terminology
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM manufacturing and fabrication processes
• Understanding of Project Management methodology
• Familiarity with interior and exterior building materials and fabrication techniques
• Familiarity with graphic production techniques and methodology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to travel up to 25% and work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
