Fabrication Lab Student Worker

Responsibilities

• Assist the Fabrication Lab Technician with weekly tasks related to lab equipment and student support
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for all lab users
• Enforce lab policies and ensure users are following safety procedures
• Monitor equipment training records and restock consumable items
• Assist students with various fabrication projects
• Perform daily shop tasks and special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Previous classroom experience in the Fabrication Lab
• Familiarity with the lab space and its equipment
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs
• Interest in woodshop tools and digital fabrication
• Ability to maintain a consistent weekly schedule outside of class time

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous enrollment in a 3D studio art course
• Experience in woodshops, makerspaces, or shared work environments
