About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team in defining and driving change management strategies across Fabrication engineering integration
- Architect and execute scalable strategies for change management to improve governance and traceability
- Manage employees performing activities within multiple engineering disciplines
- Develop and execute project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures to set operational goals
- Collaborate with functional organizations including SEIT, Business Operations, Digital Engineering, and Supply Chain Engineering
- Communicate tradeoffs and progress to senior and executive leadership
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
- Use standard project artifacts to surface risks early and drive mitigation
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
- 5+ years of experience in Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Systems Engineering, or ALIT/Change Management roles
- 2+ years of experience leading teams in a formal or informal leadership role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing engineering changes for airplanes and/or production systems
- 2+ years in a formal engineering leadership role (manager)
- Proven ability to effectively communicate to both executives and engineers at all levels
- Ability to manage and empower teams in ambiguous environments
- Previous experience in engineering product development
- Experience working with Fabrication Manufacturing Business Units (MBUs)
