About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team in defining and driving change management strategies across Fabrication engineering integration
  • Architect and execute scalable strategies for change management to improve governance and traceability
  • Manage employees performing activities within multiple engineering disciplines
  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures to set operational goals
  • Collaborate with functional organizations including SEIT, Business Operations, Digital Engineering, and Supply Chain Engineering
  • Communicate tradeoffs and progress to senior and executive leadership
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
  • Use standard project artifacts to surface risks early and drive mitigation

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
  • 5+ years of experience in Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Systems Engineering, or ALIT/Change Management roles
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams in a formal or informal leadership role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing engineering changes for airplanes and/or production systems
  • 2+ years in a formal engineering leadership role (manager)
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate to both executives and engineers at all levels
  • Ability to manage and empower teams in ambiguous environments
  • Previous experience in engineering product development
  • Experience working with Fabrication Manufacturing Business Units (MBUs)
