Fabric Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on building fabric elements including doors, windows, partitions, ceilings, flooring, and roofing
• Perform minor carpentry, basic plumbing, plastering, painting, and general handyman tasks
• Complete statutory checks and fabric condition surveys, reporting findings accurately via digital systems
• Act as the first point of contact to make safe and repair issues to ensure continuous operational availability
• Liaise with subcontractors and the contract team to ensure all work meets required health and safety standards

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in fabric repairs and maintenance
• Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent
• A clean driving licence and comfort working across multiple sites
• Digital literacy and confidence using tablets/digital systems to record work tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
