About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver the LensCrafters Experience by providing exceptional optometric care and retail service
- Greet customers promptly and handle telephone inquiries in a friendly, professional manner
- Explain required paperwork, medical tests, products, and services to patients
- Perform pre-examination testing with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to their vision, lifestyle, and budget
- Operate POS systems to accurately process payments, insurance, and prescriptions
- Maintain organized patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Manage contact lens inventory, including disinfection and clinical support for the Optometrist
- Ensure the store appearance meets company visual display guidelines
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of current fashion trends
- Ability to solve problems and handle difficult customer situations with patience
- Familiarity with POS systems, computers, and basic math
- Strong organizational and sales skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or an optical environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
