Extrusion Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate state-of-the-art extrusion equipment in a clean room environment to produce medical-grade tubing.
• Follow all cGMP/GDP standards, company policies, 5S, and lean manufacturing practices.
• Perform equipment setups, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure production efficiency.
• Conduct quality inspections using metrology tools such as Zumbach, MicroVu, and various gauges.
• Maintain accurate production records, documentation, and process parameters.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure safety and effective shift handoffs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and unit conversions).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
• Level I: 1+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience.
• Level II: 2+ years of plastics extrusion experience.
• Level III: 5+ years of plastics extrusion experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical or Associate’s Degree in a related field.
• Experience in the medical device industry.
• Proficiency with electronic work order documentation.
• Experience using QAD or SAP.
