Extrusion Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex extrusion problems and implement flow corrections
• Set up and start up profiles for all machines in a work cell
• Operate machines to produce parts according to customer requirements and production schedules
• Perform maintenance tasks and identify when technical support is needed
• Provide training and guidance to production associates
• Participate in 5S activities and lead kaizen events
• Maintain and develop back-up tooling
• Ensure co-workers follow safety policies and work safely

Requirements

• Experience with profile extrusion preferred
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement aptitude
• Basic computer skills in Windows, MS Access, and MS Excel
• Equipment maintenance experience
• Ability to lift 50 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and procedures
• Strong prioritization and multi-tasking capabilities
