Extrusion Operator II

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, load, and service various types of extruding machinery
• Observe machine operations to detect problems and make necessary adjustments
• Set and adjust machine controls and speeds based on material specifications
• Perform autonomous maintenance and repair or replace machine parts as needed
• Blend, extrude, and size plastic pellets
• Mount and position pelletizer heads using hand tools
• Lift and position raw materials manually or using PIT equipment
• Oversee the packaging and quality of the production project
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Ability to stand, crouch, and bend for extended periods
• Basic math and basic computer skills
• Capability to obtain forklift certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-year of experience as a machine operator
