Extrusion Maintenance Technician II

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and preventative repairs to plant machinery and infrastructure
• Minimize production time losses associated with equipment failure
• Manage maintenance supplies and provide replenishment information
• Develop and review standard operating procedures for maintenance functions
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Comply with quality and environmental management systems
• Utilize electrical testing tools including VOM and non-contact voltage testers
• Apply mechanical fasteners and various types of lubricants
• Perform welding, brazing, soldering, and metal cutting tasks
• Operate lifting equipment such as chain hoists, jacks, and winches
• Inspect heavy lifting hardware, cranes, and scaffolding
• Interpret blueprints including scales, symbols, and dimensions

Requirements

• Associate Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Training in LOTO, Electrical/Mechanical Safe Work Practices, and Ladder Safety
• Proficiency in CPR, Respiratory protection, and Fall protection
• Experience with Confined space entry and Aerial lifts
• Basic PC skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually
• Capability to work near energized circuits, hot equipment, and chemicals
• Ability to work on scaffolding, ladders, and in confined spaces
