Extrusion Maintenance Technician II

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and preventative repairs to plant machinery and infrastructure
• Minimize production time losses associated with equipment failure
• Manage stock replenishment and provide ordering information
• Develop and review standard operating procedures for maintenance functions
• Maintain clean and safe maintenance work areas
• Comply with quality and environmental management systems
• Test electrical circuits using VOM and non-contact voltage testers
• Install mechanical fasteners and apply various lubricants
• Perform welding, brazing, soldering, and metal cutting
• Use lifting equipment including block and tackle, chain hoists, and winches
• Inspect heavy lifting hardware, cranes, and scaffolding

Requirements

• Associate Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Training in LOTO, Electrical/Mechanical Safe Work Practices, and Ladder Safety
• Proficiency in CPR, Respiratory protection, and Fall protection
• Basic PC skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Capability to handle various chemicals and hazardous waste
