Extrusion Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion machines in a work cell to produce parts based on customer requirements and production schedules
• Perform machine set-ups, start-ups, running, and tear-downs of profile tooling
• Analyze production data and make necessary machine adjustments
• Move raw materials, packaging, and finished products in and out of the line
• Complete documentation including process checks, quality checks, and production reporting
• Evaluate part conformance against documented product requirements
• Troubleshoot advanced problems and escalate complex issues to technicians or engineering
• Train new Extruder Operators and lead the work cell when necessary
• Participate in 5S activities and Kaizen events
• Perform necessary maintenance tasks and follow all safety policies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic computer skills including keyboarding and Windows
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and process procedures
• Ability to articulate problems and solutions verbally
• Experience with equipment maintenance
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
