Extrusion Associate 1

Responsibilities

• Assist Saw Operator in a safe manner according to company rules and regulations
• Observe material for dimensional and quality issues
• Perform visual and gauge quality checks per work order
• Move material from walking tables to metal conveyor
• Use tape measure to assist with cut length measurements
• Place scrap into proper containers
• Follow safety procedures regarding ergonomics and hand placement
• Ensure material is placed in baskets in a neat and orderly fashion
• Perform 5S and housekeeping duties

Requirements

• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32"
• Ability to lift 50 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist
• Proficiency in basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals
• Ability to read and interpret statistical data and written instructions
• Capability to use computerized equipment
• Ability to stand, walk, and work on concrete surfaces for long periods
• Ability to move carts in and out of production areas
