Extruder/Mill Operator

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate roll rotating equipment, overhead cranes, and forklifts
• Perform skilled extrusion of compounded rubber stock applied to customer rolls
• Use scales to accurately weigh raw materials for blending according to mixing instructions
• Read and understand standard prints and technical instructions
• Complete necessary paperwork to document production variables
• Perform maintenance, housekeeping, and other miscellaneous tasks as directed by supervision
• Operate hand and power tools safely within a manufacturing environment

Requirements

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret standard prints and instructions
• Ability to operate heavy machinery including overhead cranes and forklifts
• Ability to use scales for precise weighing of raw materials
