Extruder Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform proper start-up and shutdown operations for production lines
• Complete process check sheets every two hours and correct any process issues
• Change screen packs for all extruders and manage raw material silos
• Update hour-by-hour boards to record production, goals, and maintenance issues
• Troubleshoot quality issues to ensure all rolls meet first-quality standards
• Operate the ESTL machine for quality checks and adjust processes to mitigate defects
• Operate a forklift to move products as needed
• Maintain a clean work area following the 6S process
• Fill in for the Group Leader as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
• Proficiency in Winder Operator II and Extruder Operator I & II skills
• Experience with forklift operation
