External Communications Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate communications strategy regarding business momentum and growth
• Partner with cross-functional teams including brand, product, engineering, legal, and policy
• Shape narratives for media, artists, creators, policymakers, and investors
• Build relationships with top-tier business, technology, music, and entertainment media
• Lead cross-functional product launch communications and messaging
• Own multi-channel content creation including blog posts, executive speeches, and opinion pieces
• Elevate executive leadership through external-facing communications
• Manage sensitive and high-profile crisis communications
• Scale communications infrastructure as the company grows

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or policy communications
• In-house experience in tech or high-growth, culturally relevant companies
• Strong relationships across technology, business, culture, and policy press
• Exceptional writing, messaging, and storytelling skills
• Experience advising senior executives and leadership teams
• Proven ability to manage sensitive communications and anticipate issues
• Ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives
• Builder mindset with comfort in fast-moving environments
• Eligibility to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both traditional media and newer digital platforms
• Fluency in content creation for owned channels
