External Communications Associate

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute holistic external communications strategies that align with business goals
• Build and maintain relationships with key members of the press and manage media lists
• Partner with business leaders to understand and anticipate communications needs
• Support senior executives in the planning and execution of events, conferences, and public speaking engagements
• Pitch and manage communications projects including product launches, reports, and investor conferences
• Manage logistics for media interviews and handle compliance inquiries related to public appearances
• Collaborate across the organization on executive communications, social media, and content development
• Create media clip reports and gather metrics to evaluate communications effectiveness

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in external communications
• Strong understanding of the financial services industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Expertise in using AI/LLM tools
• Expertise in TVEyes, Meltwater, Business Wire, and Bloomberg Terminal
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize high-volume tasks in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to assess risk

Preferred Qualifications

• BA in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism
