Exterminator L-II

Responsibilities

• Inspect premises and investigate complaints of infestation
• Determine appropriate methods of extermination and pest prevention
• Supervise exterminators engaged in using traps, rodenticides, and stoppage equipment
• Supervise the cleaning and repair of equipment
• Order necessary supplies and equipment and maintain related records
• Ensure safe storage and cautious use of various poisons
• Supervise the preparation of various substances used in exterminating
• Make recommendations for improving exterminating methods
• Perform exterminating and stoppage duties as required

Requirements

• Valid Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator certificate (7A) for Industrial, Institutional, structural and Rodent Control
• Valid New York State Motor Vehicle Driver License
• Two years of full-time practical experience in the preparation and use of insecticides, rodenticides, baits, and traps
