Exterminator

Responsibilities

• Inspect premises and investigate complaints of infestation
• Determine appropriate extermination methods and apply correct dosages of rodenticide
• Maintain extermination schedules and bait application protocols
• Keep digital records of exterminating operations and generate reports
• Instruct the public on safety precautions regarding pesticide application
• Inspect demolition worksites for pre-demolition rodent control compliance
• Operate city vehicles safely and maintain city-issued equipment

Requirements

• Valid Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator certificate (7A) for Industrial, Institutional, structural and Rodent Control
• Valid New York State Motor Vehicle Driver License

Preferred Qualifications

• Highly organized with ability to work in teams
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with computer systems
