Exterior Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Provide line management for local engineers, including hiring, onboarding, and career development
• Identify technical skill gaps and coordinate training with Subdomain Leaders
• Assign engineers to projects and costing library tasks to ensure optimal resource usage
• Act as local Domain representative to Sales and assist in customer pitches
• Assess technical feasibility, required effort, and teardown needs for project opportunities
• Serve as Team Coordinator to track project adherence and resolve issues
• Conduct quality reviews of all deliverables before client submission
• Enforce adherence to working standards and guide selection of global or localized standards

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a cost engineer in industrial or consulting contexts
• Proven experience in people management and leading high-performing teams
• Comprehensive understanding of BIW, Closures, HV Battery, and Exterior components
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies including Stamping, Forging, Casting, Machining, Injection, Welding, Coatings, and Assembly
• Proficiency in project management tools such as ClickUp or MS Project
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and advanced Excel
• Professional level fluency in English
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
