Extended Term Consultant - Climate Change

Responsibilities

• Support the project and programme review cycle and the preparation of PPRC meetings and Board materials
• Track proposal submissions and maintain accurate records on the FIF platform and AF website
• Draft routine correspondence including letters, memos, and emails in line with Adaptation Fund standards
• Liaise with Readiness and KM teams to support capacity-building efforts and webinars
• Assist in the coordination of meetings convened under the UNFCCC and other climate funds
• Support the preparation of operational guidelines, tools, and presentations through editing and formatting
• Provide broader operational and administrative support to the Secretariat

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with two years of experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments
• Ability to travel internationally if needed
• Fluency in English; French and Spanish are highly desirable

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing business processes and stakeholder relations with international organizations or governments
• Familiarity with the Adaptation Fund, UNFCCC, Paris Agreement, or climate change policies
• Experience working in developing countries with vulnerable communities
