Expression of Interest - STEP Fusion

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the STEP (Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production) programme, the UK's flagship fusion energy project.
• Support various professional functions including Project Leadership, Business Support, Project Controls, Engineering, and Site Operations.
• Collaborate within multi-disciplinary, delivery-focused teams to support the transition to clean and sustainable energy.
• Engage in complex programme delivery within regulated environments.

Requirements

• Experience or familiarity with the fusion industry or related emerging energy technologies.
• Proven experience in major projects, infrastructure, engineering, or operational environments.
• Transferable skills in areas such as project management, finance, HR, communications, commercial, or administration.
• Ability to work collaboratively in high-stakes, technical environments.
• A valid UK driving licence (for specific roles where required).
• Ability to complete a Government Security Check (SC).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within highly regulated or nuclear environments.
• Background in civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering.
• Expertise in project controls, planning, or commercial estimation for major systems.
