Export Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the export department to ensure efficient Air and Ocean freight movement
• Direct and control end-to-end Air Freight Export processes to maintain productivity and efficiency
• Supervise, coach, and develop staff, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations
• Serve as the primary escalation contact for customer export shipments and manage financial results
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international export laws and regulations
• Communicate with export authorities, customers, and suppliers to maintain positive relations
• Utilize reports to quantify workload and drive KPIs to ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 5+ years of Air/Ocean export experience in a freight forwarding environment
• 2+ years of experience supervising and developing staff
• Strong understanding of Export Compliance Regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Cargowise software
