Export Control & Global Trade Compliance Lead

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously update the Internal Compliance Program (ICP) for the Ukrainian entity.
• Collaborate daily with the German Export Control Lead to ensure seamless cross-border transfers and alignment with global standards.
• Classify cutting-edge technologies and secure all necessary export, import, and transit licenses from Ukrainian authorities.
• Coordinate with the German team regarding EU/US nexus items to ensure full regulatory alignment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in export control or trade compliance within a high-tech, highly regulated industry.
• Deep understanding of Ukrainian export control laws.
• Working knowledge of EU/German and US trade controls (EAR/ITAR).
• Business-fluent English and Ukrainian.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
• Ability to understand complex technical specifications and software architectures for accurate product classification.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset suitable for a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in the German language.
• Experience working within a German or European corporate context.
