Export Compliance Senior Advisor

Responsibilities

• Manage EU dual-use export licensing processes, including navigating updates to the EU Dual-Use Control List for emerging technologies.
• Submit and manage the end-to-end process for export license applications.
• Provide strategic guidance to internal stakeholders by translating complex regulations into actionable advice.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to strengthen regional and global compliance programs.
• Monitor and interpret national control list developments across EU Member States.
• Build and maintain relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and industry peers.
• Advise leadership on real-time risk exposure and emerging regulatory trends.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing EU dual-use export licensing processes.
• Working knowledge of US export controls (EAR/ITAR), restricted/denied party screening, and embargo controls.
• Demonstrated understanding of key export compliance and customs procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical regulations to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the 2025 EU Dual-Use Regulation update and its implications for emerging technology classifications.
• Experience with export classifications for semiconductors, advanced computing, or other emerging technology areas.
• Experience working directly with multiple EU Member State licensing authorities.
