Export Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Administer an effective export program ensuring regulatory and internal policy requirements are met
• Ensure compliance with U.S. export control laws including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC
• Conduct jurisdiction and classification analyses (ECCN, USML) and maintain internal databases
• Prepare licenses and authorizations such as DSPs, TAAs, and BIS
• Act as a liaison with the Department of State, Department of Commerce, and other regulatory agencies
• Develop and provide training on agreement and license limitations
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues
• Screen transactions against restricted party and embargoed country lists
• Collaborate with supply chain, legal, engineering, and sales teams

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in export compliance
• Deep understanding of EAR, ITAR, and industry best practices
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline
• Experience writing and submitting license applications, LOEs, and TAAs
• Proficiency with reporting sites such as DECCS, SNAP-R, and ACE
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in satellite manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or high-tech industries
• Experience with contract management
• Experience in other legal or compliance functions
