Export Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Execute export control for Airbus Defence and Space GmbH at the Friedrichshafen location
• Ensure a continuous export control process that enables permanent tracking of project exports throughout product development
• Guarantee compliance with all applicable national and international export control laws and regulations
• Enforce all Airbus Defence and Space policies and procedures regarding export control
• Process national and international export license applications for hardware, software, and technology transfer
• Review, coordinate, and monitor compliance with US re-export regulations, including EAR and ITAR
• Prepare the Sanctioned Country process and conduct the Secure Hiring process
• Improve and optimize existing processes and tools
• Provide advice and support to employees, projects, and functional units regarding export control
• Conduct export control training sessions

Requirements

• Completed degree in Law, Technology, or a comparable university qualification
• Knowledge of German foreign trade and export law, EU Dual-Use, and US re-export controls (EAR/ITAR)
• Experience in project management within international teams
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Fluency in both German and English (business level)
• Willingness to learn technical, process-related, and legal subject matter
• Readiness for occasional business travel
