Exploitation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Initiate and steward development and exploitation projects, acting as a project manager within a multi-disciplinary technical team
• Perform economic evaluations for capital projects, acquisitions, and divestiture initiatives
• Develop and quantify depletion strategies to maximize asset value for assigned areas
• Forecast production volumes, prepare capital budgets, and track results
• Identify optimization opportunities, technology applications, and value-maximizing initiatives
• Interface with asset, functional, and operations teams to enhance capital efficiency and project delivery
• Assist with the assessment of non-operated drilling, optimization, and infrastructure projects
• Represent the Asset Team in communications with regulatory bodies, partners, and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 8 to 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng. with APEGA)
• Proficiency with industry software including ValNav, PEEP, PowerBI, Excel, AccuMap, WellView, Avocet, and ProdView
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
• Ability to work from the Calgary office with occasional field travel

• Previous experience specifically working as an Exploitation Engineer
