About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain automated assembly equipment, including pick-and-place machines and wafer processing tools
- Execute advanced assembly techniques such as micro-assembly, die bonding, wire bonding, and encapsulation
- Compile and maintain accurate production logs, test results, and reports using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Excel
- Interpret technical documentation including blueprints, schematics, and Work Instructions (WI)
- Perform visual inspections of components using microscopes to ensure high quality standards
- Debug and troubleshoot failed electronic components and assemblies using specialized test equipment
Requirements
- 1-3 years of direct experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a high-tech assembly environment
- Extensive knowledge of assembly machinery (e.g., wire bonders, die attach machines)
- Proficiency in cleanroom protocols (ISO Class 1-8) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) prevention
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret technical schematics
- Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma principles
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds and perform prolonged standing or walking
- Ability to obtain NCIC background clearance and Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) authorization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience guiding, training, or mentoring new team members, apprentices, or trainees
- Advanced experience with specific Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
