Expert Designer

Responsibilities

• Create the future of Nike Sportswear and modern footwear icons through innovation and cultural insight
• Craft visionary and commercially viable footwear, managing every detail from concept to execution including construction, form, fit, and performance
• Translate consumer knowledge and cultural insights into compelling product solutions and narratives
• Collaborate with internal designers, developers, product managers, engineers, and external partners to bring fresh ideas to life
• Lead and drive partnerships across various functions including Marketing, Engineering, and Development
• Generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project while considering cost, sustainability, and manufacturability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 8+ years of experience in footwear design and product development
• Technical footwear design expertise with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Ability to create accurate 2D technical drawings and tech packs
• Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills
• Experience with presentation programs such as Keynote, PowerPoint, and Acrobat

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cobbling and prototyping skills
• Proficiency in 3D design programs
• Knowledge of human factors, color, and materials to elevate consumer experience
