Expert Applied Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy ML and data-driven solutions to detect, validate, and reduce map quality issues such as data drift and feature distribution shifts.
• Define and drive data analysis and model evaluation standards, including advanced and segmented performance metrics.
• Lead the productionization of models and data pipelines, working closely with engineers to optimize pipelines.
• Build and improve end-to-end automated workflows to minimize manual processes from issue detection to resolution.
• Perform code reviews and optimization to ensure high-quality, production-ready solutions.
• Mentor and guide less experienced scientists and contribute to the planning of data science initiatives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data science or applied science roles at a senior level.
• Strong expertise in machine learning, including supervised, unsupervised, and dimensionality reduction techniques.
• Excellent Python skills and experience with large-scale data processing (e.g., Spark, big data environments).
• Proven experience building and deploying data pipelines and ML solutions in production environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with geospatial or road network data.
• Experience with ML experimentation and monitoring tools such as MLflow or Databricks.
• Proficiency in Java and related technologies.
