Experimental Flight Test Instrumentation and Data Systems Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse team of engineers and technicians to execute project plans and set operational goals
• Oversee day-to-day instrumentation operations for flight test programs including Apache, Little Bird, and Chinook platforms
• Implement new hardware and software to support testing requirements
• Provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements
• Manage programmatic aspects including cost, schedule, and proposal support
• Develop and engage employees through coaching, mentoring, and performance assessments
• Partner with other I&DS managers across the enterprise to develop common processes, tools, and hardware

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
• At least one year of experience in a leadership role
• Experience with flight test instrumentation systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
• 10+ years of experience with flight test, flight operations, or system test
• Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) or experience creating estimates
• Experience with Program Management Best Practices such as Risk Management and Earned Value Management
• Experience as an Instrumentation or Design/Build Engineer on a military test program
