Experiential Learning Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed labour market analysis to inform program and partnership development
• Implement plans that support the development of work-integrated learning opportunities for students
• Assist academic units with facilitating experiential learning activities offered in for-credit courses
• Advise faculty, staff, and students on University policies and procedures
• Create, foster, and maintain relationships with local, national, and international partner organizations
• Research and evaluate potential employers for student placement opportunities
• Organize and participate in events, workshops, and fairs associated with experiential education
• Update the Experiential Education Unit’s social media accounts and website
• Ensure contracts and agreements are consistent with University standards and guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
• Minimum five years of related experience in an experiential learning environment
• Experience matching, placing, and supporting students in for-credit student placements
• Experience in academic advising and providing guidance to students
• Experience in program development and evaluation
• Proficiency with database management systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and interact effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working specifically within a University environment in the area of experiential learning
