Experiential Learning Accommodations Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Develop a framework and resources for accommodations within Experiential Learning and Work-Integrated Learning environments
• Act as an adviser on complex accommodations for staff in Accessibility Services and partner sites
• Develop frameworks for accommodating the cognitive impact of mental health disabilities
• Provide training and resources for staff on applying accommodation frameworks
• Conduct detailed analysis on program efficiency and student learning outcomes
• Consult with instructors, administrators, and student groups on tailored programming needs
• Liaise with course instructors to ensure students receive required academic and placement support
• Serve as an expert resource to professionals in the specialty

Requirements

• Master's Degree in education, social work, psychology, learning disabilities, or equivalent
• Minimum five years of experience developing student accommodations in post-secondary environments
• Demonstrated expertise in experiential learning accommodations
• Expertise in understanding cognitive impacts of neurological and mental health disabilities
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to communicate professionally with diverse university community members
• Ability to negotiate complex situations and adapt to changing environments
