About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop operational programs for drilling, completions, and workover activities, ensuring operational integrity and regulatory compliance
  • Optimize wellwork designs for multi-well programs, including casing, tubing, well path plans, fluids, and cementing programs
  • Provide advanced technical support for well intervention and abandonment strategies to resolve complex issues
  • Perform comprehensive risk management, including SSH&E impacts, emergency preparedness, and well control contingency planning
  • Conduct modeling and analyses such as torque and drag, hydraulics, and BHA modeling to support execution
  • Manage contractor interfaces, monitor KPIs, and support tendering and procurement activities
  • Perform surveillance of daily operations to identify deviations and provide optimization recommendations
  • Mentor and coach less experienced Wells Engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • 5–15 years of Wells Engineering experience
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills with the ability to lead in diverse work teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel to well sites to support global operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with unconventional shale (e.g., Permian Basin) or deepwater operations
  • Familiarity with challenging environments such as extended reach, managed pressure drilling, or HPHT (high temperature/high pressure)
  • Interest in long-term global career opportunities, including rotational or expatriate assignments
