Experienced Structure & Payload Systems Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide Liaison or Design Engineer support for ongoing modifications across product lines including Interiors, Connectivity/VIP, Avionics, and Boeing Converted Freighters (BCF).
• Write, coordinate, and disposition Installation Deviation Records (IDRs) for airplane modifications.
• Review and respond to Service Requests (SR) from airline customers via the Boeing Communication System.
• Apply engineering principles to research and resolve technical, operational, and quality issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for design nonconformances.
• Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participate in design reviews.
• Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards throughout the post-production environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical, or Material Sciences).
• 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must meet US Export Control compliance requirements (US Person status required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Active or previous MRB or LAE certification.
• Multidisciplinary engineering background.
• Experience with Model Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA, and PDM.
• Experience providing technical support to suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Knowledge of the aircraft certification process.
