Experienced Civil Designer

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, investigation, and concept development of major capital projects.
• Prepare detailed designs for roads, drainage, and various civil infrastructure.
• Manage and monitor the technical quality of work performed by the project design team.
• Develop and review complex engineering drawings and technical reports.
• Incorporate Road Safety and Design Philosophy principles into all designs.
• Mentor junior designers in technical skills, project delivery, and client relationships.
• Monitor task-based scope, time, and cost management systems.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 10-15 years of experience working within a consultancy environment.
• Proven expertise in road design, drainage services, or civil engineering design.
• Extensive knowledge of Australian Standards and local Road Authority Standards.
• High-level proficiency in 2D and 3D CADD software and 3D modelling.
• Strong skills in applying safety in design practices, specifically regarding road safety.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
