Experienced Avionics Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring
• Diagnose and correct malfunctions in aircraft electrical, communication, navigation, and radar systems
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, schematics, and blueprints to perform electrical modifications
• Execute assembly, installation, and visual inspection of wire bundles and electrical assemblies
• Use specialized tooling, fixtures, and equipment for depot-level modification and repair
• Manage the coordination, preparation, and movement of materials and tools
• Adhere to all safety and operating procedures, including Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag out systems

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience with maintenance of avionics or electronic equipment (Comm Nav, Data Links, Weapons, Radar, etc.)
• 9+ years of experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and schematics
• 9+ years of experience with software, media, and file command installation
• 9+ years of experience with component and wire installation, including troubleshooting and testing
• US Citizenship is required to obtain a US Security Clearance
• Ability to work variable shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in confined spaces and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Security Clearance (held within the past 24 months)
• Experience with Depot Level maintenance and large avionics modification implementation
• Experience with Flight System Operational checks
• Experience operating forklifts, mobile cranes, or electric powered elevating equipment
