Experienced Animator

Responsibilities

• Create animated characters and objects that meet required direction
• Animate primary and secondary characters using traditional methods and computer graphics systems
• Convey emotion through body language, facial expressions, and dialogue
• Meet production schedules and show deadlines
• Participate in dailies, rounds, and team reviews of work in progress
• Interact with production, supervisors, and peers to solve problems and share information
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team to resolve design solutions

Requirements

• Strong understanding of the principles of animation
• Proficiency in Maya
• Minimum of 3+ years of production or feature film experience preferred
• Ability to provide a demo reel illustrating relevant artistic and technical experience
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Background or experience in fine arts showing understanding of motion, weight, balance, and form
• Knowledge of human and animal anatomy
• Life drawing skills
