Expense Compliance Analyst

Responsibilities

• Review expense reports prior to approval to ensure compliance with company travel and reimbursement policies
• Validate that expenses are reasonable, business-related, and supported by itemized receipts
• Identify policy exceptions, missing documentation, duplicate charges, and incorrect cost centers
• Investigate unusual expense activity by reviewing Concur details and supporting materials
• Partner with Travel & Expense, Accounts Payable, and Legal teams to resolve exceptions
• Maintain accurate records of review outcomes to support audit readiness and internal controls
• Proactively recommend process improvements and policy clarifications based on recurring patterns
• Support month-end and quarter-end financial reporting activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in finance operations, expense review, audit, or corporate finance
• Hands-on experience reviewing employee expense reports, preferably in Concur
• Strong knowledge of corporate travel and business expense policies
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify policy violations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional inquiry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting executive-level expense review or senior leadership
• Background in a global technology company or complex multinational environment
• Familiarity with SOX environments and internal controls
• Process improvement mindset with ability to suggest scalable solutions
