Expense Accounting, Internal Control, VBA & Reporting Analyst

Responsibilities

• Partner with expense owners and cost center administrators to provide guidance on expense coding and allocation.
• Advise on appropriate corporate vs. fund treatment based on the nature of spend.
• Develop subject matter expertise on key vendors, services, and recurring expense types.
• Partner with Fund Accounting to ensure alignment with fund expense allowability and governing documents.
• Analyze historical errors and Fund Accounting rejections to identify root causes and recommend process improvements.
• Build and maintain centralized documentation for supplier relationships, coding standards, and allocation methodologies.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounting, or Master Data Management.
• Experience within the financial services or investment management industry.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Proficiency in Workday, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI.
• Strong analytical and business analysis skills with the ability to resolve complex problems.
• Proven track record in process improvement and working with ambiguous data.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within Public Accounting or investment firms, specifically in consulting, audit, or corporate finance functions.
• Experience in stakeholder-facing roles.
