Expediting & Inspection Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor material supplies for technical compliance and progress in accordance with project quality requirements and timelines.
• Review vendor quality documents including QAP, ITPs, Procedures, and MRB.
• Coordinate with inspection agencies to arrange timely inspections, review inspector CVs, and close open punch points.
• Issue Inspection Release Notes using project software.
• Perform inspections at vendor works or sites for various items as required by the project.
• Manage Non-Compliance (NC) activities, ensuring timely closure during purchase order execution and coordinating with sites for received NCs.
• Conduct vendor qualification audits and performance evaluations.
• Verify packing against company specifications and ensure project quality KPIs are met.

Requirements

• University Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Power, or Process industries, specifically in mechanical inspection and expediting.
• ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, and PT.
• CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or AWS-CWI certification.
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME (II, V, VIII, B31.3, B31.1), ISO, and API standards.
• Proficiency in English and strong communication/organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel within the UAE and abroad, and ability to work overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• NACE Level II, CSWIP, or BGAS Grade 2 certification.
• Experience with ADNOC projects.
• Strong expertise in welding, NDT, and coating/painting inspections.
• Knowledge of material specifications for carbon steel, stainless steel, clad, and alloy steel.
