Expandable Liner Hanger Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities

• Source and manage the supply of float equipment, including float shoes, float collars, and auto-fill floats.
• Maintain deep knowledge of premium and semi-premium thread connections (e.g., VAM, TenarisHydril) and manage vendor relationships for premium OCTG.
• Procure a broad range of materials such as alloy and carbon steels, elastomers, seals, and specialty metals for downhole tool manufacturing.
• Initiate and maintain accurate Purchase Orders to ensure materials meet quality standards and delivery schedules.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and contractual terms with approved suppliers.
• Leverage ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) to fulfill production and inventory requirements.
• Perform procurement duties for R&D projects, including tracking status for prototype and qualification hardware.
• Qualify new suppliers in coordination with Quality and Engineering teams to expand the approved vendor list.
• Facilitate communication between engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure proper material routing.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in supply chain or procurement.
• Minimum of 3 years specifically in oilfield services, well construction, or downhole tool manufacturing.
• Knowledge of solid expandable liner hanger systems and associated downhole completion components.
• Familiarity with OCTG product forms, alloy grades, and API/ISO specifications (e.g., API 5CT, 11D1, 19D).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and Material Test Reports (MTRs).
• Proficiency with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
• Undergraduate degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field preferred.
