Exhibition Manager

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager for exhibitions, commissions, special projects, and related publications
• Develop and monitor interdepartmental project schedules and timelines for multiple concurrent exhibitions
• Coordinate artwork procurement, exhibition loans, loan agreements, and shipping logistics
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and process invoices
• Facilitate collaboration between fabrication studios, artists, galleries, and partner institutions
• Act as primary liaison between Curatorial and Marketing & Communications departments
• Maintain comprehensive artwork records, installation requirements, and lender crediting
• Coordinate artwork transportation and assist with installation and condition assessments
• Monitor loans and coordinate regular maintenance and technical troubleshooting
• Support the development of the publications program and exhibition catalogues

Requirements

• 3–7 years of exhibition coordination, project management, or registration experience in an art museum, arts nonprofit, or gallery
• Bachelor’s degree in arts administration or museum studies preferred
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Proficiency with office and project-management software such as Asana
• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends
• Experience managing large-scale exhibitions or commissioned projects preferred
