Exercise Planner Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Exercise Planners in coordinating and executing exercises for the National Guard Bureau, Joint Staff, and various JIIM partners
• Assist Program Management with the communication and coordination of all national and international level exercises
• Develop after-action reports, improvement plans, and corrective action plans following drills, full-scale exercises, and real-world events
• Draft realistic threat scenarios and develop training objectives in conjunction with stakeholders
• Conduct trend analyses from exercise data to capture innovative practices and lessons learned
• Manage exercise information through JTIMS and other management systems
• Develop educational training overviews and briefings for Subject Matter Experts (SME)
• Coordinate and manage exercise development from conceptualization to CONOP briefs

Requirements

• Familiarity with Joint and Multinational exercise design at the operational level
• Demonstrated aptitude in applying Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) stages
• Proficiency in MDMP, ADM, and JPP methodologies
• Experience with JTIMS and ARTIMS management systems
• Working knowledge of Multi-Domain Operations
• Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree
• Active Secret security clearance (with ability to obtain TS/SCI)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant experience planning and executing a Component or Joint Exercise Program
• Experience with exercise planning at the brigade level or above
• Graduate of a Command and General Staff College
• Previous experience supporting a Department of War or US Army customer
