Exercise Planner Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of exercise planners in developing and executing national and international level military exercises from conceptualization to CONOP briefs
• Assist Program Management with the communication and coordination of all exercises for NGB, Joint Staff, and various JIIM partners
• Develop after-action reports, improvement plans, and corrective action plans following drills, full-scale exercises, and real-world events
• Draft realistic threat scenarios and develop training objectives in conjunction with stakeholders
• Conduct trend analyses from exercise data to capture innovative practices and lessons learned
• Manage exercise information through JTIMS and other management systems
• Coordinate and manage exercise development alongside relevant planners and participants

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• 12+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Familiarity with Joint and Multinational exercise design at the operational level
• Proficiency in JTIMS and ARTIMS
• Working knowledge of Multi-Domain Operations
• Demonstrated aptitude in applying the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC), MDMP, ADM, and JPP
• Valid U.S. Passport
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant experience planning and executing a Component or Joint Exercise Program
• Experience with exercise planning at the brigade level or above
• Graduate of a Command and General Staff College
• Previous experience supporting a Department of War or US Army customer
