Executive Producer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate companywide breaking news coverage and content sharing between local stations and centralized teams
• Support stations during major weather and breaking news events by coordinating communication and live coverage resources
• Serve as a central point of contact for internal teams, external partners, and newsroom stakeholders during major coverage events
• Manage logistics for traveling crews, shared resources, and enterprise coverage initiatives
• Assist with the production and distribution of weather explainers, training materials, and editorial presentations
• Organize and support newsroom training sessions, leadership programs, and virtual workshops
• Maintain internal communication systems, including Teams channels, SharePoint resources, and newsroom documentation
• Monitor contribution feeds to identify stories and video opportunities suitable for broader distribution
• Coordinate with graphics, streaming, digital, and editorial teams on major enterprise projects
• Support the rollout and adoption of new newsroom systems, workflows, and operational tools
• Coordinate content requests, permissions, and licensing workflows with outside vendors

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in broadcast news, digital news, streaming, or newsroom operations
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced news environment
• Experience coordinating coverage, projects, or newsroom workflows across multiple stakeholders
• Familiarity with newsroom systems, collaboration tools, and content workflows
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work flexible hours during major breaking news or severe weather coverage
