About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative dessert menus that reflect current trends and guest preferences
- Prepare a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and breads
- Supervise and train junior pastry staff to develop their skills and knowledge
- Monitor ingredient quality and ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to maintain profitability
- Ensure all kitchen operations comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to coordinate dessert offerings for special events, weddings, and banquets
Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in pastry arts
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-end restaurant or hotel pastry kitchen
- Proven track record of creating high-quality desserts and managing a pastry program
