About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative dessert menus reflecting current trends and guest preferences
- Prepare a wide range of pastries, desserts, and breads with high-quality presentation
- Monitor ingredient quality and ensure consistency in taste and excellence
- Supervise and train junior pastry staff to develop their skills
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen staff for special events and banquets
- Stay updated on pastry trends and techniques to enhance the pastry program
Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in pastry arts
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-end restaurant or hotel pastry kitchen
- Proven track record of creating high-quality desserts
